A new way to shop with AI

Mastercard is teaming up with leaders like Stripe, Google, and Ant International’s Antom to make AI-powered payments accessible and easy for merchants and platforms everywhere. By this holiday season, all U.S. Mastercard cardholders will be able to use the new Mastercard Agent Pay program, with a global rollout soon after. Early adopters, including Citi and U.S. Bank cardholders, will get a first look at how AI can make shopping faster, smoother, and more intuitive.

To make it easier to get started, Mastercard is launching:

Setting the standard for AI payments

Mastercard is helping define how payments should work in AI-driven environments. By working with the FIDO Alliance and other industry leaders, Mastercard is creating standards that make sure every transaction is secure, transparent, and approved by the shopper. This gives businesses and consumers the confidence to trust AI to handle payments.

Building trust and simplicity

“AI-powered payments aren’t just a trend they’re a transformation,” said Craig Vosburg, Chief Services Officer at Mastercard. “We’re creating the infrastructure for a new generation of intelligent transactions, where people can rely on AI agents to act on their behalf safely and transparently.”
