Odisha is stepping into the future of finance. In a historic move, the state government, in partnership with Singapore-based Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), has launched the BharatNetra Initiative. At its heart is the Integrated Global Financial Technology Capability Hub (I-GFTCH) in Bhubaneswar — Odisha’s first-ever initiative of this scale, designed to connect local talent with global opportunities.
This initiative is more than just a hub. It’s a vision: to make Odisha a thriving center for innovation, entrepreneurship, jobs, and financial inclusion.

Building Odisha’s FinTech Future
BharatNetra is built on four key pillars:
- Nurturing the Next Generation of FinTech Leaders
Odisha is teaming up with the National University of Singapore’s Asian Institute of Digital Finance (NUS-AIDF) and GFTN to launch the Certificate in FinTech & InsurTech (CFI). This five-month program blends online learning, in-person sessions, projects, and internships to prepare students for the fast-changing world of FinTech. In the next five years, 7,000 students will gain the skills needed to thrive — and the first batch of 375 students kicks off this September. - Connecting Odisha to the Global Stage
In early 2026, Bhubaneswar will host the Black Swan Summit India, joining a network of international technology forums. This summit will bring global investors, business leaders, and innovators to Odisha, creating new opportunities for startups, jobs, and cross-border collaboration. - Empowering FinTech and InsurTech Startups
The Innovation Hub will act as a launchpad for promising startups, offering mentorship, funding guidance, and market access. With GFTN’s global support, entrepreneurs will have the tools to scale their ideas, compete internationally, and make Odisha a hub for financial technology innovation. - Creating a Global FinTech Collaboration Hub
The Financial Technology Global Capability Hub will connect Odisha’s talent to the world’s top fintech ecosystems. Startups, corporates, and innovators can collaborate, develop products, and form partnerships that put Odisha on the global innovation map.
