Nium, a global leader in real-time cross-border payments infrastructure, has announced the European expansion of its account validation service, Verify, through a strengthened partnership with iPiD, the provider of the Know Your Payee (KYP) solution, iPiD Node. The collaboration is more than a simple integration it’s a two-way partnership in which iPiD will also leverage Nium’s Verify technology to enhance its own validation capabilities, combining the strengths of two of Singapore’s most innovative fintech firms.

The move comes ahead of the EU’s October 2025 regulatory deadline for Verification of Payee (VoP), which will require payment service providers to verify payee details and document those checks. With iPiD Node integrated into Nium’s infrastructure, the reach of Verify will now extend to all 41 countries in the SEPA zone, adding to its existing real-time account verification capabilities in 25 countries worldwide.

Nium is currently the only provider with direct access to global real-time payment schemes for both payments and account validation. Since its launch, Verify has helped clients save millions by reducing fraud and payment errors — in one case cutting a major remittance provider’s error rate from 1.41% to 0.34%. iPiD Node’s compliance-ready infrastructure further strengthens this by offering audit logs, advanced name-checking flows, and flexible matching logic to improve accuracy while minimizing friction for users.
