Bolt, the checkout, identity, and payments company behind the Bolt SuperApp for finance and crypto, has announced the appointment of Olta Andoni as Senior Vice President of Legal and People. Andoni joins Bolt during a period of sustained product delivery and platform growth. Her focus will be on ensuring that Bolt’s expanding capabilities are developed and deployed within clear and scalable regulatory frameworks, while also supporting teams as they move quickly from product design to market launch. By working closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams, she will help embed compliance, privacy, and governance directly into how the platform operates.

Ryan Breslow, Founder and CEO of Bolt, said that building long-lasting commerce infrastructure requires strong governance alongside speed and execution. He noted that as Bolt scales its checkout, identity, and payments offerings, it is critical for legal and people operations to be tightly integrated into product development. According to Breslow, Andoni brings the experience and judgment needed to help teams move fast while maintaining the standards expected by merchants and consumers.

In addition to overseeing legal and regulatory functions, Andoni will also lead Bolt’s people operations. Her responsibilities include aligning hiring, internal policies, and organizational processes with the company’s product roadmap and operating goals. This approach is designed to support a performance-driven culture centered on clarity, accountability, and sustainable execution as Bolt grows.

Commenting on her new role, Andoni highlighted the increasing convergence of payments, identity, and financial infrastructure. She explained that platforms operating at this intersection need legal and regulatory foundations that can scale alongside the product. At Bolt, her priority will be to embed compliance, privacy, and trust directly into the platform so teams can continue moving quickly while merchants and consumers remain confident as the business expands.

Before joining Bolt, Andoni served as General Counsel at Enclave Markets, the first fully encrypted exchange incubated by the blockchain platform Avalanche, where she led the development of internal regulatory, compliance, and governance frameworks. Prior to that, she was Chief Legal Officer at Nifty’s. She has also spent nearly a decade as an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law and remains actively involved in regulatory and policy groups focused on the future of digital asset regulation in the United States.

With Andoni’s appointment, Bolt continues to strengthen its leadership team to support platform growth at scale. By integrating legal, regulatory, and people operations directly into the product lifecycle, the company aims to expand its capabilities while maintaining reliability, transparency, and trust for merchants, consumers, and investors.
