Antom, the merchant payment and digital services arm of Ant International, has rolled out a major upgrade to Antom Copilot its AI-powered assistant built to help merchants simplify and manage complex payment operations. Designed as an industry-first agentic AI tool, the new Copilot brings deeper automation, smarter decision-making, and more personalized support to everyday business workflows.

Now fully integrated into the Antom Merchant Portal, the enhanced Copilot draws from real-world merchant cases to offer more accurate guidance throughout the entire payment lifecycle. It assists merchants from the moment they onboard and integrate their payment systems, through ongoing risk control, dispute resolution, and even improving payment success rates. Rather than waiting for problems to arise, Copilot now anticipates issues by monitoring operational signals closely and advising merchants proactively.

The upgraded Copilot behaves almost like a virtual team of seasoned payment specialists. Its domain-trained intelligence can handle tasks that typically demand large, resource-heavy operations teams—cutting both processing time and operational costs. Thanks to improved multi-turn dialogue capabilities and better memory, the tool performs far more effectively in real, multi-step business scenarios.

Built on an advanced agentic retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture and dynamic SOP planning, Copilot has already demonstrated strong results. In just one year since launch, 72% of Antom merchants have completed self-service integration through Copilot. The platform has reduced payment integration time by a dramatic 90% while improving dispute resolution efficiency by 46%.
