Reddit Welcomes Mike Romoff as New Chief Revenue Officer to Ignite Ads Growth
Reddit has announced that Mike Romoff will be joining the company as the new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this role, he will be responsible for the Ads Business, which will be responsible for expanding global partnerships and scaling multiple teams to drive sustainable growth. Reddit’s Ads Business has experienced substantial growth in recent years, with ad revenue increasing by more than 41% year-over-year in Q2 2024. This growth has resulted in a more robust position in the industry.
Reddit, which was initially designed as a platform for experimentation, has since evolved into a comprehensive solution for brands. The company has introduced distinctive ad formats and has improved its ad technology to improve performance and accessibility. The advertiser base has also expanded to encompass both small businesses and large enterprises.

The company is bidding dieu to Harold Klaje, the first CRO, who played a critical role in the expansion of the Sales team and ad revenue during his nearly five-year tenure, as well as the expansion of Reddit’s global sales presence and ad partner network. This transition is taking place at the same time.
Mike was the VP of US SMB Sales at Google before joining Reddit. He had previously served as the leader of the Global Channel Sales Team. He has also served in executive positions at LinkedIn, where he was responsible for the establishment of numerous sales functions and oversaw Global Operations.
