Luxor Partners with TeraWulf to Enhance ASIC Performance with LuxOS

Luxor Partners with TeraWulf to Deploy LuxOS Firmware for Enhanced ASIC Performance, Efficiency, and Reliability

Luxor Technology Corporation, a leader in Bitcoin mining software and services, announced it has partnered with TeraWulf Inc., a vertically integrated digital infrastructure company, to deploy LuxOS firmware across TeraWulf’s bitcoin mining fleet. LuxOS firmware is designed to unlock key performance enhancements, driving increased efficiency, and optimizing hardware reliability in a range of operational conditions.

Through extensive testing and deployment, Luxor has observed significant benefits from LuxOS firmware, including:

  • Efficiency and Performance Gains: LuxOS has demonstrated the ability to improve ASIC efficiency by approximately 5% while maintaining hashrate levels. Under optimal conditions, efficiency gains of up to 5.3% and a 5.1% increase in hashrate have been observed, with overclocking delivering up to a 10% hashrate boost in favorable ambient and market conditions.
  • Optimized Operations During Repairs: LuxOS’s auto-tuning technology enables continued hashing on ASICs with a faulty hashboard, yielding an efficiency increase of approximately 4.4% over stock settings — allowing mining operations to continue uninterrupted.
  • Increased Efficiency During High Power Pricing: LuxOS allows for underclocking ASICs, leading to efficiency gains of approximately 12% over stock firmware’s low-power mode, helping mitigate the impact of fluctuating electricity costs.
  • Advanced Thermal Management for Hardware Longevity: LuxOS’s Advanced Thermal Management (ATM) system prevents overheating by dynamically adjusting performance profiles as temperatures rise. This feature helps sustain hashrate, reduce thermal cycling, and extend hardware lifespan, ensuring long-term reliability.
  • Audit and Compliance Leadership: As the only mainstream firmware developed in the United States, LuxOS offers enhanced security and compliance standards, including SOC 2 (Type II) Certification, a key factor for institutional Bitcoin miners seeking best-in-class operational integrity.
