Intelligent use, flexibility, and excellence in service
Nubank, the largest digital bank platform outside of Asia, announces NuCel in the Brazilian market, a mobile phone service designed to transform customer experience and expand the company’s portfolio beyond financial services. Focusing on customer-centric decisions, eliminating complexities, ensuring transparency, and offering high-level service and support, Nubank aspires to lead a new transformation in the mobile telephony sector.
The product was developed to simplify users’ lives with flexible and no-commitment plans. Additionally, NuCel customers will have benefits that are part of the Nubank ecosystem, such as “Caixinhas Turbo”, a tool that allows users to save money with a personalized return of 120% of the CDI. Ultravioleta and Nubank+ customers will automatically receive extra gigabytes if their data allowance is exceeded.
NuCel will be gradually rolled out over the coming months, initially available only for devices with eSIM, with fast and 100% digital activation. There are three plan options for customers to choose from based on their needs: 15GB for R$45/month, 20GB for R$55/month, and 35 GB for R$75/month. Payments will be made using the Nu credit card. In the initial testing phase, only some functionalities will be available. After this phase, all benefits and functions will be enabled.

All plans include:
- Unlimited voice package for local and long-distance calls.
- Unlimited WhatsApp, including voice and video calls, and unlimited access to the Nubank app.
- Access to an exclusive savings box with a return of 120% of the CDI on amounts deposited by the customer, with a limit of up to R$10,000, for at least one year.
NuCel will cover 93% of the Brazilian territory and offer high-performance 5G connectivity. Starting today, customers interested in receiving notifications about the service’s availability can sign up on the interest list via the app and will be notified when NuCel is available for hire.
Industry Comments
NuCel will provide real-time suggestions based on usage, allowing adjustments at any time. If the contracted data allowance ends within the month, the customer can add extra GBs directly in the app.
“NuCel was created to simplify the current telephony portfolio with flexible plans, no surprises for customers, and the autonomy that only a 100% digital platform can offer. Our philosophy remains the same: we know that the best product always wins. We are on day one of this journey, but we are working to ensure the experience, customer care, and quality of Nu’s service in this new product. And of course, this service, within an increasingly comprehensive ecosystem of solutions, brings even more benefits and gains by integrating offers to the customer,” says Livia Chanes, CEO of Nubank in Brazil.
NuCel was developed under the MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) model, regulated by Anatel in the country.
