Eleven former Silicon Valley Bank technology dealmakers, including a fintech and payments expert, have joined the investment bank Moelis & Company.

The boutique firm doubled the size of its technology investment banking team in order to pounce on the group following SVB’s demise.

Additional ten managing directors join Jason Auerbach as he assumes the role of global head of technology investment banking.

With the help of additional MDs who specialise in areas like application software, infrastructure, and security software, Georgi Balinov expands Moelis’s current fintech franchise.

Prior to 2021, when nine of the 11 joined SVB’s investment banking division, they were all employed by UBS.

According to Navid Mahmoodzadegan, co-president of Moelis, “Each of these highly accomplished bankers brings a wealth of experience and expertise that grows our capabilities to support the full technology ecosystem.”
