Helcim, a payments company focused on helping growing businesses access transparent and affordable payment solutions, has announced the launch of the Helcim Payment Extension. The new tool is designed to let merchants seamlessly integrate Helcim’s payment processing into the web-based business software they already rely on, removing the long-standing tradeoff between streamlined workflows and fair pricing.

As businesses scale, many owners find themselves forced into an uncomfortable choice. They either continue using the specialized software that powers their operations such as scheduling, inventory management, or accounting systems—while accepting limited and often expensive built-in payment options, or they separate payments from their workflow and struggle with disconnected records and manual reconciliation. In many cases, vertical software platforms lock merchants into a single payment processor with flat-rate pricing that can exceed 2.9 percent, quietly eroding margins as transaction volumes grow.
The Helcim Payment Extension aims to change that dynamic by allowing businesses to bring their own payment processing into the tools they already use. With a simple browser extension, merchants can connect their existing software directly to Helcim. Once installed, transaction data flows smoothly between the platform and Helcim’s payment interface, ensuring invoices are automatically marked as paid and financial records stay accurate without the need for manual data entry.

For early users, the impact has been immediate. Jedd Ylagan, owner of Kinetically Whole Therapies and a beta user of the extension, said the solution removed a long-standing pain point. He noted that his team continues to work within the same clinic software they’ve always used, but now benefits from significantly lower payment costs without disrupting the client experience.
At launch, the Helcim Payment Extension supports more than 20 widely used software platforms, with plans to expand to over 100 integrations by the end of the year. This broader compatibility is expected to benefit businesses across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, automotive services, and professional services, all of which can take advantage of Helcim’s interchange-plus pricing model.
According to Nic Beique, CEO and Founder of Helcim, the extension reflects the company’s belief that merchants should remain in control of their financial relationships. He emphasized that business owners should not be forced to overpay for payments simply to access the software that runs their operations. By restoring choice, Helcim enables merchants to pair the tools they trust with payment pricing that is clear, fair, and scalable.
