Taptouch Launches Embedded Tap to Pay for Hospitality POS

Taptouch Software, an Australian-owned provider of hospitality point-of-sale technology, has unveiled a new embedded payment solution that brings Tap-to-Pay functionality directly into its POS platform. While embedded payments are becoming more common globally, Taptouch is the first Australian-owned POS company to deliver a fully integrated payment experience purpose-built for the day-to-day realities of hospitality operations.

With the new capability, cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and hotels can accept contactless card payments and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay straight from the POS system, without the need for separate EFTPOS terminals. By removing the gap between ordering and payment, the platform simplifies checkout, reduces friction for staff, and creates a faster, smoother experience for customers.

Designed with hospitality workflows in mind, Taptouch’s embedded payments work seamlessly across multiple service models, including pay-at-counter, pay-at-table, and self-service kiosk environments. Payments are processed within the same POS or kiosk used for ordering and table management, allowing staff to complete the entire service journey in one place. For venue owners and managers, this translates into easier operations during peak service periods, more consistent execution across teams, and quicker onboarding for new employees.

According to Scott Zhang, CEO of Taptouch Software, the company’s focus has always been on building technology that genuinely supports hospitality teams on the floor. He explained that instead of retrofitting generic payment tools, Taptouch has designed embedded payments natively within the POS to match how staff take orders, move through service, and complete transactions in real-world hospitality settings.
