Thimble is now owned by Arch Insurance, an insurtech company.

Arch’s portfolio of digital solutions for small business insurance is expanded by the acquisition.

Today, Arch Insurance announced that it had purchased Thimble, a top insurtech platform for small business clients and brokers. The award-winning app, website, or phone service Thimble enables small businesses to quickly obtain insurance coverage by the job, month, or year.

Arch’s portfolio of digital solutions for brokers and small business clients is expanded by the acquisition. More than 170,000 small businesses in the US have received policies from Thimble since May 2018. Markel and Employers are just two of the many carriers that Thimble works with. With the help of its current carrier partners and by introducing fresh solutions through Arch, the Thimble team will keep expanding the company.

According to Jay Rajendra, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Arch, “We’re always looking to expand our digital solutions and create new, simple ways to do business with us.” “Thimble simplifies insurance. For small business customers and agents to purchase and manage insurance, the Thimble team has developed a best-in-class digital experience. In order to better serve our partners, we’re excited to expand the Thimble platform and implement many of its digital strategies across Arch.

Thimble co-founder Jay Bregman stated, “We are thrilled to join the Arch family. The entire Thimble team is eager to expand the platform with Arch and our current carrier partners. The potential benefits of our team’s digital expertise for Arch and its distribution partners excite me just as much.
