Thunes now offers real-time payments to Moroccan bank accounts
Thunes, known as the “Smart Superhighway” for moving money across borders, has taken another big step forward by launching real-time payment services in Morocco. With this expansion, members of its Direct Global Network can now send instant payouts directly to Moroccan bank accounts in local currency (MAD), opening new doors in one of Africa’s most important remittance markets.

Thunes’ newly published 2025 Money Without Borders report highlights just how critical speed has become in international transfers. According to the study, 65% of expatriates say speed is their top priority when choosing a payment service. By connecting directly into Morocco’s banking network, Thunes is now able to offer faster, more transparent transactions than traditional, legacy systems.
