Thredd, a leading next-generation payments processor, has announced a strategic partnership with Netbank, the Philippines’ first fully regulated embedded banking platform, to launch a next-generation Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) solution. Through this collaboration, fintechs, e-wallets and banks in the Philippines will be able to roll out modern, flexible card-issuing products across both consumer and commercial segments faster than ever before.

Netbank’s new offering is powered by Thredd’s full-stack issuing technology, supporting both physical and virtual cards with real-time creation capabilities, advanced spending controls, an intuitive operations portal, and seamless integration with Google Pay. The platform also includes a powerful card management system designed to simplify program oversight and unlock more personalization for cardholders.
This move comes at a pivotal moment for the Philippines, where digital payments continue to accelerate. According to central bank and third-party research, the country is expected to see digital payments grow at a compound annual rate of nearly 14 percent through 2033. The shift toward a cashless economy—driven by e-commerce, mobile banking, and digital wallets—is creating substantial demand for embedded financial infrastructure.
