AAR CORP. has announced that its digital aviation solutions, Trax and Aerostrat, have been selected by Thai Airways to support a major digital transformation of the airline’s maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. The partnership marks an important step in Thai Airways’ efforts to modernize its technical operations and build a more efficient, data-driven maintenance environment.

At the center of the transformation is Trax’s eMRO enterprise resource planning platform, along with its suite of eMobility applications and cloud hosting capabilities. Together, these tools will modernize Thai Airways’ MRO processes by enabling real-time access to maintenance data from anywhere, streamlining workflows, and improving decision-making across the airline’s global operations. The shift to a cloud-based, mobile-enabled environment is designed to enhance productivity while supporting scalability and long-term operational resilience.

Complementing Trax’s capabilities, Aerostrat’s advanced maintenance planning software, Aerros, will provide Thai Airways with powerful tools for long-range maintenance forecasting and optimization. This will help the airline maximize fleet availability, better align maintenance schedules with operational needs, and control costs more effectively in an increasingly competitive aviation landscape.

Thai Airways will also deploy proprietary artificial intelligence–powered solutions from Trax and Aerostrat to support advanced planning, automate workflows, and assist with defect resolution. By digitizing traditionally manual and paper-based processes, the airline expects to reduce turnaround times, improve accuracy, and lower its environmental footprint.

Commenting on the announcement, Andrew Schmidt, senior vice president of AAR Digital Services and president of Trax, said AAR’s continued investment in Trax and the expansion of its offerings to include Aerostrat’s planning solutions position the company well to help airlines boost productivity and reduce operational costs. He added that the combined solution set is designed to meet the evolving needs of modern airline maintenance organizations.
