FirstEnergy has appointed Hannah Turner as Vice President, Transmission Finance, reinforcing its leadership team at a critical moment for the company’s transmission growth strategy. In her new role, Turner will oversee financial operations and regulatory support for FirstEnergy Transmission LLC (FET), Keystone Appalachian Transmission Company (KATCo) and the company’s integrated transmission businesses. She will also assume the role of Principal Financial Officer for FirstEnergy Transmission effective March 1, 2026.

Turner joins FirstEnergy as the company accelerates major grid modernization initiatives, including the multiyear Valley Link Transmission joint venture with Dominion Energy and Transource Energy, as well as the newly launched Grid Growth Ventures partnership with Transource Energy. These projects are central to strengthening regional grid reliability and expanding transmission infrastructure to meet evolving energy demands.
As Vice President of Transmission Finance, Turner will lead financial planning, reporting and regulatory coordination for the company’s transmission operations. She will serve as the primary financial liaison to the FET board and investors, oversee the Transmission rates team and manage key regulatory filings. Her responsibilities also include partnering with internal and external stakeholders to address strategic, financial and operational risks while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Turner brings extensive joint venture and executive leadership experience from Electric Transmission Texas (ETT), where she most recently served as President. During her tenure, she led a multibillion-dollar enterprise, strengthened governance frameworks and advanced system resiliency initiatives. Prior to that role, she served as ETT’s Vice President of Finance and Regulatory, directing financial planning, analysis and compliance programs that enhanced operational performance and streamlined reporting processes.
Earlier in her career at American Electric Power, Turner played a key role in aligning financial structures and regulatory strategies across multiple joint ventures, experience that supports FirstEnergy’s focus on regional collaboration and long-term transmission planning.

Mark Mroczynski, President of Transmission at FirstEnergy, said Turner’s experience navigating complex regulatory environments and leading large transmission organizations will be a significant asset to the company. He noted that her strategic and collaborative approach will strengthen FirstEnergy’s financial foundation and support continued growth while delivering value to customers and stakeholders.
Turner holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from LeTourneau University.
