Bybit Kazakhstan, AFSA Partner to Enable Stablecoin Payments

Bybit Kazakhstan, the local arm of Bybit the world’s second-largest crypto exchange has joined forces with the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) to break new ground in Kazakhstan’s digital finance space. Through this partnership, businesses and participants at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) can now pay their regulatory fees using USD-pegged stablecoins. It’s a big step toward making the financial system faster, more transparent, and easier to navigate.

The agreement was sealed at Astana Finance , where AFSA CEO Evgeniya Bogdanova and Bybit COO Mazurka Zeng signed a memorandum of understanding. Bybit became the very first company to join AFSA’s pioneering framework, underscoring its role as a trusted and innovative partner in shaping the future of finance in Kazakhstan.

As part of this partnership, Bybit Kazakhstan will roll out its tailored QR Pay solution along with a dedicated stablecoin wallet to help AFSA manage invoicing. The goal? To make payments faster, easier, and more reliable for everyone involved. Mazurka Zeng reflected on the milestone, saying, “We at Bybit Kazakhstan are truly proud to join hands with AFSA in shaping a regulatory-first approach to stablecoin adoption.”. This achievement not only highlights AFSA’s forward-looking vision but also the trust placed in Bybit to deliver safe, seamless solutions that support entrepreneurs, businesses, and consumers alike.”
Echoing this optimism, Evgeniya Bogdanova highlighted the transformative impact of stablecoins: “By accepting regulatory fees in USD-pegged stablecoins, we’re making the AIFC faster, more open, and future-ready — giving participants a modern and dependable way to grow within a trusted framework.”
