Bitget Wallet Adds Gas-Free Support for Solana Users

Bitget Wallet, a leading non-custodial crypto wallet, has launched gas-free support for Solana transactions becoming the first wallet to fully cover fees for transfers and swaps without relying on Solana’s relayer system. Powered by its in-house Paymaster infrastructure, Bitget Wallet will subsidize gas fees for the first three token transfers and three swaps each day (over $10 in value), from July 31 to October 31.

While Solana is known for low fees, costs can still add up with priority tipping and account initialization. Bitget Wallet’s Paymaster system eliminates this burden, letting users interact with the network without needing SOL in their wallets. This change makes everyday onchain activity more accessible especially for retail users.

The launch comes as the altcoin market heats up. Bitcoin’s dominance has dipped below 60%, Ethereum is surging, and Solana’s DeFi ecosystem has crossed $10 billion in total value locked. Daily activity and trading volumes, especially for Solana-based tokens, are rising fast.

“We’re seeing clear shifts in user behavior,” said Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet. “Gas-free Solana transactions make it easier for users to explore and engage with the altcoin ecosystem, where usability is now just as important as speed.”

The rollout also kicks off Altventure 2025, a Bitget Wallet campaign aimed at encouraging retail participation in emerging altcoin ecosystems through exclusive content and trading incentives.

In addition, Bitget Wallet has introduced GetGas, a flexible solution that lets users pre-fund gas fees using stablecoins or tokens like USDT, USDC, ETH, and BGB across ten chains—including Ethereum, Solana, Base, TRON, and BNB Chain. Together, Paymaster and GetGas create a smoother, more affordable onchain experience.
