For many businesses, especially those managing recurring services or high invoice volumes, traditional billing methods can be time-consuming and expensive. Printing, mailing, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts often create delays that impact liquidity and strain internal teams. DirectBiller addresses these challenges by moving the entire invoicing process into a secure digital environment.

According to Keith Flynn, Managing Director of Treasury Management at Ameris Bank, the DirectBiller solution simplifies billing for businesses while also making it easier for their customers to pay. He highlighted that subscription-based businesses and companies handling large volumes of invoices stand to benefit significantly, as the platform reduces manual work while ensuring secure and efficient payment collection.
The process is straightforward. Businesses can generate invoices digitally and deliver them through email, SMS, or a dedicated customer portal. Clients receiving the invoice can log into the portal, review billing details, and choose their preferred payment method. Once processed, payments are deposited directly into the business’s bank account, minimizing delays and improving visibility into receivables.
Ameris Bank envisions the solution serving organizations of all sizes, with particular relevance for commercial clients managing complex receivable operations. Industries such as utilities, healthcare and medical services, government and municipal agencies, insurance providers, and property management associations are expected to benefit from the platform’s capabilities.
