Interactive Brokers, the automated global electronic broker, has officially launched version 1.0 of its new trading platform, IBKR Desktop. After two years of beta testing, this release introduces a fully-featured desktop trading experience that is designed to be both simple to use and packed with advanced functionality.

IBKR Desktop is built to be the main trading platform for a wide range of investors, from beginners to seasoned professionals. According to Milan Garik, CEO of Interactive Brokers, the platform was developed to meet the needs of all types of investors. He explained that IBKR Desktop is designed to help new traders get started and then easily transition to more advanced tools as they become more experienced.

The new version 1.0 comes with a comprehensive set of trading tools, including portfolio management, watchlists, advanced charts, and option chains. This launch is a major milestone for the platform, as it now offers the core functionality of Interactive Brokers’ flagship platform, Trader Workstation.
