CI Global Asset Management (CI GAM) has announced a series of significant enhancements to its digital asset investment lineup, further cementing its position as a leader in this rapidly growing market. The firm has introduced the CI Galaxy Core Multi-Crypto ETF (CCCX), which recently closed its initial offering and is now trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The ETF provides investors with exposure to some of the world’s largest cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, Ether (ETH), and Solana (SOL), allowing for diversified access through a single, convenient investment. Alongside this, CI GAM has also launched the CI Solana Fund, which offers investors exposure to Solana through the mutual fund structure by investing in units of the CI Galaxy Solana ETF. To expand accessibility, CI GAM has added Canadian dollar hedged series across its entire lineup of digital asset ETFs and mutual funds, giving investors more flexibility in managing currency exposure.

Another key development is the introduction of a staking strategy for the CI Galaxy Ethereum ETF (ETHX), expected to launch on August 27, 2025. By staking a portion of the Ethereum held in the portfolio, CI GAM aims to generate additional returns for unitholders while maintaining exposure to the underlying asset. Commenting on the updates, Jennifer Sinopoli, Executive Vice-President and Head of Distribution at CI GAM, explained that these changes are designed to make it even easier for investors to participate in the digital asset market. She emphasized that the firm’s solutions not only simplify access to leading cryptocurrencies but also provide diversification benefits and the potential for long-term growth driven by blockchain adoption.

The new offerings also highlight CI GAM’s strong partnership with Galaxy Asset Management, which serves as sub-advisor to the funds. Steve Kurz, Global Head of Asset Management at Galaxy, noted that this expanded product suite provides investors with institutional-grade, secure, and convenient ways to access digital assets. With the addition of CCCX, investors can now choose between two distinct multi-crypto ETFs: the newly launched CCCX, which provides passive exposure based on market capitalization, and the CI Galaxy Multi-Crypto Navigator ETF (CMCX), which employs a rules-based momentum strategy designed to manage volatility and deliver smoother, risk-adjusted returns. Together, these updates represent CI GAM’s commitment to offering innovative, accessible, and growth-oriented digital asset solutions to Canadian investors.
