RebuilderAI, a fast-rising startup backed by NAVER D2SF and known for its advanced 3D modeling AI technology, has secured KRW 4.5 billion in its Pre-Series A funding round. The investment brings together an impressive group of supporters, including ASICS Ventures—the corporate venture arm of Japan’s ASICS Corporation along with Medici Investment, IBK Capital, and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. NAVER D2SF, which recognized the company’s potential early on, was the first institutional investor shortly after RebuilderAI was founded.

At the heart of RebuilderAI’s momentum is its proprietary AI engine, which turns simple 2D images into lifelike 3D data with remarkable accuracy. The company initially gained attention with “VRIN 3D,” a tool that allows users to scan products with a smartphone and instantly generate high-quality 3D content. This year, it pushed innovation even further with “VRING:ON,” a powerful solution that converts rough design sketches into production-ready 3D models, complete with manufacturing patterns and CAD data. The platform’s ability to bridge digital design with real-world manufacturing earned it two CES 2026 Innovation Awards, highlighting its impact across both Fashion Tech and AI.

RebuilderAI’s technology has quickly evolved into an agent-based design system capable of generating detailed, parametric 3D data for everything from footwear designs to internal sole structures. What sets the system apart is its precision—it adapts outputs based on materials, fabrication methods, and production constraints. This high level of technical refinement caught the attention of ASICS, leading to both the strategic investment and a software licensing agreement.

As demand grows, RebuilderAI is rapidly expanding overseas. The company has launched an AI-driven partnership in Saudi Arabia to support furniture design and manufacturing workflows, and recently completed a USD 1 million customization and licensing deal with a major ODM factory in Hong Kong. These milestones reflect the company’s growing relevance as industries worldwide look to speed up development cycles and bring more automation into their product pipelines.

“This funding round validates our AI technology on a global level,” said RebuilderAI CEO JeongHyeon Kim. He emphasized that collaborating with global brands like ASICS marks a significant moment for the company, demonstrating the real-world value of AI in manufacturing environments. “Our integrated solution from design sketches to manufacturing data not only shortens development cycles, but also reduces costs dramatically. We’re preparing to expand beyond commerce sectors such as footwear and furniture into any industry that relies on 3D design capabilities.”

RebuilderAI has also been named one of the Top 100 Global Startups at the Entrepreneurship World Cup 2025, adding yet another recognition of its technical excellence. The company continues to strengthen its research foundation through collaborations with KAIST, Dankook University, and Jeonbuk National University. These partnerships focus on connecting AI-generated 3D data with actual production systems, including projects that combine 3D printing with robotic textile spraying.

With new funding in hand, global deals underway, and industry recognition accelerating, RebuilderAI is positioning itself as a transformative force redefining how the world designs and manufactures products.
