Paysafe Expands U.S. Agent Recruitment Program

Paysafe Expands U.S. Agent Recruitment Program

Paysafe is widening the door for aspiring entrepreneurs and community-connected sellers with the expansion of its U.S. Agent Recruitment Program. The refreshed initiative now welcomes early-career professionals and independent sellers who want to build long-term careers in merchant services, helping small and midsized businesses (SMBs) modernize how they accept and manage payments.

At a time when local retailers, restaurants, healthcare providers, petroleum operators, and service businesses face increasing pressure to offer seamless checkout experiences, Paysafe is positioning its agents as trusted local advisors. Independent agents will work directly with SMBs to set up card acceptance, enable alternative payment methods, and optimize both in-store and online payment flows. Beyond basic processing, agents will help merchants improve conversion rates and create checkout experiences that match evolving consumer expectations.

The expanded program focuses heavily on enablement. New agents receive structured onboarding and continuous learning through Paysafe University, ensuring they understand both the technical and consultative aspects of merchant services. In addition to training, agents gain access to ready-made marketing materials and demand-generation resources designed to help them identify and win local opportunities. Each agent is also paired with a dedicated support representative, helping ensure that both agents and merchants receive quick answers, faster activations, and smoother ongoing service.

Tyler Nowell, Senior Vice President of SMB Sales at Paysafe, emphasized that the initiative is about empowering people who are deeply rooted in their communities. By combining real-world training, marketing support, and operational backing, Paysafe aims to help agents not only learn the merchant services business but also build a portfolio that grows over time. The model is designed to reward effort and relationship-building, rather than short-term sales wins.

Compensation plays a central role in the program’s appeal. Agents can access competitive pay structures, performance-based bonuses, free equipment, and recurring residual income, alongside tiered commissions that increase with performance. Additional incentives such as promotions and prepaid card revenue sharing offer further earning potential, although income varies depending on individual effort, market conditions, and other factors.

Robert Gatto, Chief Revenue Officer at Paysafe, highlighted that the program aligns incentives between agents and merchants. By supporting agents with tools and resources while helping SMBs adopt smarter payment solutions, Paysafe aims to create a growth cycle where both parties benefit.

With this expansion, Paysafe is reinforcing its commitment to the SMB segment, recognizing that small businesses need not just payment processors, but partners who understand their communities and can guide them through an increasingly complex payments landscape. For independent sellers looking to build a sustainable career in fintech, the program offers both structure and entrepreneurial flexibility in a fast-evolving market.
