Collaboration Launched to Test Institutional-Grade Clearing for Yield Products

Pascal Protocol, the team behind the Smart Clearing Protocol and Jetstream, is joining forces with Treehouse, the leading decentralized fixed income layer, to explore how clearing and settlement the backbone of traditional finance can power the next chapter of DeFi.

The collaboration kicks off with a proof of concept focused on TESR Forward Rate Agreements (FRAs). These will be benchmarked against the Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate (TESR) Curve, a transparent rate built through Treehouse’s Decentralized Offered Rates (DOR) framework that blends expert input with on-chain data. By pairing Treehouse’s innovative fixed income suite with Pascal’s smart clearing engine, the two teams want to show how DeFi can deliver the same trust, efficiency, and scale that institutions expect from traditional markets.

“DeFi’s future isn’t just about trading—it’s about building the infrastructure that capital markets can rely on,” said James Davies, CEO and Co-Founder of Pascal Protocol. Brandon Goh, CEO and Co-Founder of Treehouse, added: “Pascal’s clearing model fits perfectly with the benchmarks we’ve created. It’s the missing piece to unlock real-world adoption.”

But this partnership goes beyond technology. Pascal and Treehouse want to involve the community, sharing insights, hosting panels, and showcasing their work at industry events like TOKEN2049. The goal is simple: make decentralized fixed income more understandable, more usable, and more trusted.

In the coming months, the proof of concept will roll out with a handful of institutional partners, giving them the chance to test TESR-based FRAs and explore DOR as a potential new benchmark for the industry. For Pascal, this is just one step in a much bigger journey bringing asset classes like commodities, energy, and structured products into the world of blockchain. At the heart of it all is Pascal’s atomic clearing engine, built to handle things like margining and risk management in real time. In simple terms, it’s about giving institutions the kind of safety net and confidence they need to truly embrace DeFi.

The timing couldn’t be better. This September, Pascal is gearing up for its Token Generation Event (TGE) and the launch of the $PASC token. But this isn’t just another token hitting the market—it’s a milestone in Pascal’s evolution. What started as a trading infrastructure project is now growing into a full clearing protocol for Web3 capital markets. With governance and staking features baked in, the $PASC token isn’t just about utility—it’s about rewarding long-term believers and giving the community a real say in shaping Pascal’s future…

Together, Pascal and Treehouse are tackling one of the biggest challenges in DeFi: making it safer, more efficient, and ready for institutional adoption. For both teams, it’s about more than building products—it’s about laying the foundation for a future where traditional finance and decentralized finance finally work hand in hand.
