MoneyGram, a leading global payments network for consumers, businesses and communities, has announced the appointment of Lamia Pardo as Chief Marketing Officer (“CMO”), June 16, 2025. In this role, Pardo will lead global marketing across all channels and markets, with a clear mandate to accelerate sustainable growth by scaling customer acquisition, increasing retention and strengthening long-term loyalty.

Pardo’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment in MoneyGram’s re-founding journey. As the company sharpens its focus on agility, innovation and customer-driven growth, she will lead the effort to build a world-class growth engine that links marketing directly to measurable business results. Pardo joins the MoneyGram Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to Anthony Soohoo, MoneyGram Chief Executive Officer.

“At MoneyGram, we’re reimagining our business while leveraging core strengths: our global network, robust infrastructure and the people who will shape our future,” said Soohoo. “In Lamia, we’ve found a standout marketing leader with a track record of building data-driven, customer-centric teams. Her forward-thinking approach and ability to align marketing strategy with scalable business impact will be a tremendous asset as we accelerate our momentum and lay the foundation for long-term growth.”

Pardo brings deep expertise in growth marketing, e-commerce and product strategy. Most recently, she led growth marketing at HeliosX, one of the UK’s fastest-growing health tech companies, where she launched multiple brands and helped drive an eightfold increase in revenue over three years.

Her appointment marks her return to fintech. Previously, Pardo was part of the founding team at Pangea Money Transfer, where she served as SVP of Growth and Strategy, playing a key role in achieving product-market fit and scaling operations. She also served as CMO at Consentium, a Singapore-based crypto wallet, leading marketing through a successful $40 million ICO raise.

“I’m excited to join MoneyGram at such an exciting time for the company and the millions of people it serves,” said Pardo. “There’s tremendous opportunity to bring new energy and growth to the brand, while honoring its rich history, innovative product portfolio and strong relationships with customers around the world. I’m eager to help shape a modern, high-performing marketing organization that always puts the customer at the center.”

Soohoo concluded: “It feels incredibly fitting that Lamia joins our team on the annual International Day of Family Remittances. For hundreds of millions of people around the world, cross-border payments aren’t a want – they’re a need. Whether it’s sending money to support loved ones, investing in new opportunities or for any number of other reasons, the need is real and growing. MoneyGram is here to make it all easier – saving our customers time, effort and money. Lamia and her team will help us push that mission even further, and together, we’ll keep building a future where everyone can thrive without financial borders.”
