Leadership Changes Announced by Keystone Agency Partners

Patrick J. Kinney has been appointed president and board member of Keystone Agency Partners (“KAP”), a fast expanding insurance brokerage platform, beginning right now. Jeff Turner, who has chosen to pursue other possibilities and move out of his job as CEO, will hand off day-to-day strategic and operational responsibilities to Mr. Kinney. To enable a smooth leadership transition, Mr. Turner will continue to serve as a Strategic Advisor to the Board through July 31, 2023.

Mr. Kinney spent nearly four decades with Travelers, where he held a number of senior positions and was a member of the Travelers Executive Committee. He has been a significant strategic advisor to KAP since December 2022. He spearheaded the company’s distribution strategy as EVP of Field Management prior to his departure from Travelers by working with its brokers and agency distributors.

“Building a truly differentiating platform with best in class, entrepreneurial agencies has been a privilege to work on with the KAP executive leadership team and our agency partners,” stated Mr. Turner. “With a top-notch leadership team and a committed board, KAP is well-positioned for its next phase of growth.”

“We thank Jeff for his vision and commitment to making KAP one of the nation’s fastest-growing insurance brokerage platforms. “His dedication to the Company and its agency partners is appreciated by the Board,” stated David E. Boedker Sr., executive vice chairman of KAP. “We are thrilled to have Patrick join our leadership team as a seasoned CEO of Patrick’s quality. His comprehensive understanding of the business and his prior experience collaborating with our agencies will guarantee a smooth transition and allow KAP to stay committed to achieving above-market profitable growth.

“I am thankful for the chance and am looking forward to assisting KAP in strengthening our collaborations with independent agencies. KAP has closed 65 acquisitions in just three years, demonstrating enormous potential for development and achievement, according to Kinney. “Sales of insurance are based on trust, and insurance is a local industry. KAP supports the collaboration of its platform agencies to address complicated problems, speed up growth, and strengthen client servicing relationships.
