Gateway First Bank announced that Kyle Hubbard, president of the bank’s banking division, has been named chief executive officer, effective May 1, 2025. Hubbard will also join the bank’s board of directors.

Hubbard brings over 23 years of banking experience to the role, having previously held senior leadership positions at Arvest Bank before joining Gateway. He has made a significant impact in the Bartlesville, Oklahoma, market and is actively involved in the community through Leadership Oklahoma, Bartlesville Development Authority, and Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

Hubbard holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and an MBA from Southern Nazarene University. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado.
As Hubbard steps into his new role, Gateway also recognizes and thanks Gesell for his leadership and service. Gesell joined Gateway in 2013 and played a pivotal role in the company’s transformation from an independent mortgage company into a full-service bank. He will continue to serve on Gateway’s board of directors.
