In his new role, Phelps will collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic direction to several Cambridge-owned Offices of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJs), also known as multi-advisor teams. His focus will include strengthening operational performance, supporting recruitment efforts, and advancing enterprise growth initiatives designed to benefit financial professionals and their clients throughout the Cambridge network.

Tammy Robbins, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer at Cambridge, emphasized that Phelps was a natural fit for the position. She noted his strong leadership track record within one of the firm’s OSJs and highlighted his experience as a valuable asset as Cambridge expands its acquisition and growth strategies. Robbins also underscored Cambridge’s commitment to providing succession planning solutions, whether through Cambridge directly or via BridgePort Financial Solutions. The firm positions itself as a buyer when advisors or OSJs do not have an ideal successor, ensuring continuity, client relationship protection, and smooth ownership transitions.
