Socure, a global provider of identity verification and risk intelligence infrastructure, has announced the appointment of Colton Pond as its new Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Pond will lead the company’s global marketing strategy and execution as Socure continues its rapid expansion and strengthens its position as a leader in identity infrastructure for the AI-driven digital economy.
Pond joins Socure with extensive experience in marketing leadership within high-growth fintech and technology companies. Known for driving strong revenue growth and brand visibility, he has built a reputation for helping organizations scale their market presence while delivering measurable business results. His expertise in fintech and regulated financial ecosystems positions him well to support Socure’s mission of providing advanced identity verification, fraud prevention, and risk management solutions.
Before joining Socure, Pond served as Chief Marketing Officer at LoanPro, an API-first credit platform widely used by banks, credit unions, and fintech companies. During his time there, he played a major role in positioning the company as a core infrastructure provider in the financial services ecosystem. One of his notable achievements was launching the Salt Flats Summit, LoanPro’s first user conference. The invite-only executive event brought together more than 500 financial services leaders on the Bonneville Salt Flats and quickly gained attention across the fintech community, even earning the nickname “Fintech Burning Man” for its unique format.

Pond was also involved in building community-driven initiatives within the fintech industry. He co-founded Fintech NerdCon alongside Simon Taylor and Joy Schwartz, creating a collaborative event designed specifically for fintech operators and professionals. Earlier in his career, he served as an executive at Truv, where his marketing leadership contributed to an impressive 300 percent year-over-year revenue growth. He has also held important marketing and sales roles at companies including MX, Lucid, and HealthEquity, gaining deep experience working in complex financial services environments.
Johnny Ayers, founder and CEO of Socure, described Pond’s appointment as a key step in the company’s continued growth. According to Ayers, Pond brings the operational discipline and revenue-focused marketing approach needed as Socure expands across new markets and industries. He highlighted that Pond’s fintech background and experience with fast-growing companies will help strengthen the company’s ability to amplify its brand while maintaining a strong connection with customer needs.
Pond’s arrival comes at an important time for Socure as it scales its AI-powered decisioning platform, RiskOS™, to support a growing global customer base. The platform helps organizations make real-time identity and risk decisions across industries including financial services, fintech, banking, workforce management, marketplaces, social networks, e-commerce, and technology platforms. Socure currently serves more than 3,000 enterprise customers across 190 countries, including many of the world’s largest banks, government agencies, fintech companies, and digital platforms.

The company’s momentum has been particularly strong in recent years. Socure recently reported surpassing $315 million in annual recurring revenue and completing more than five billion identity verifications in 2025 alone. These milestones reflect the increasing demand for reliable digital identity infrastructure as businesses and governments work to combat fraud and build trust in online interactions.
Pond expressed enthusiasm about joining Socure at such a pivotal moment. He noted that while the company has already achieved impressive growth, the broader opportunity to redefine digital trust on a global scale remains enormous. In an era where artificial intelligence is transforming the digital landscape, he believes that identity verification and risk intelligence will play a central role in establishing trust between people, businesses, and automated systems.
