Adams Street Partners has announced an expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Michael Kurlander to Chief Operating Officer, in addition to his current role as Partner and Chief Financial Officer. The firm, which manages more than $65 billion in assets, also shared news of four internal partner promotions, underscoring its long-term focus on leadership development and employee ownership.
In his expanded role, Kurlander will continue to oversee Adams Street’s financial strategy while taking on broader responsibility for firmwide operations. Jeffrey Diehl, Managing Partner and Head of Investments at Adams Street, highlighted Kurlander’s long-standing leadership within the firm. Alongside the leadership update, Adams Street announced the promotion of four colleagues to Partner, reinforcing the depth of expertise across the organization and its commitment to developing talent from within. Peter Andersson, who joined the firm in 2022, has been promoted to Partner within Investor Relations and focuses on building client and consultant relationships across the Nordic region. Ali Cliff, a member of the firm since 2016, was promoted within the Growth Equity team and concentrates on investments across application software, fintech, consumer sectors, and digital health. Kristina Milberg, also with Adams Street since 2016, was named Partner in Investor Relations, where she supports capital raising efforts and manages client relationships throughout the United States. Steve Montag, who joined the firm in 2014, was promoted to Partner overseeing Accounting and Tax, leading teams responsible for accounting, reporting, and administration across the firm’s management companies, funds, and investments.
