The deal also highlights Corero’s strong partnership with Akamai Technologies, combining their strengths to deliver integrated, adaptive protection for enterprises where uptime and security are mission-critical.

The financial institution had been using an older on-premises DDoS protection system but faced growing challenges around performance and support. Corero’s offering stood out for its ease of use, real-time attack mitigation, and direct access to advanced security operations center services. The agreement spans three years, with an option to extend for another two, giving the bank long-term protection and flexibility.

Currently, the bank already leverages Akamai’s cloud-based DDoS protection. With the addition of Akamai Prolexic On-Prem—powered by Corero—it now benefits from a unified defense model that seamlessly integrates on-premises and cloud-based protection. This combination brings stronger resilience, faster response times, and greater visibility into evolving threats, while also simplifying procurement and deployment through Akamai.
