Financial Avenues LLC is celebrating 15 years of helping people take control of their financial lives without sales pitches, hidden fees, or confusing jargon. Since its founding, the fee-only fiduciary firm has grown from a one-woman startup to a respected local business with a dedicated team serving over 350 clients across the Kansas City area.

Founded by Tracy St. John, RICP, one of the first female financial planners in Missouri and Kansas to offer commission-free, fiduciary-based advice, the firm was built on a simple mission: to make financial planning understandable and accessible to everyone no matter their income level or financial situation.
“My vision has always been to empower people seeking financial advice without the pressure of being sold products or being told to hand over their investments,” said St. John. “Many clients just want someone to explain things clearly—and we’re here to do just that.”

Unlike traditional advisory firms, Financial Avenues focuses on hourly and flat-fee services, offering everything from retirement planning and budgeting to investment management—without charging a percentage of assets. This approach allows clients to get the help they need, when they need it, with no pressure or upselling.

To celebrate the anniversary, Financial Avenues will be hosting open houses at each of its office locations throughout the summer and fall. Guests can meet the team, congratulate new team member Beth Watts on earning her CFP certification, and support local nonprofits Rose Brooks Center and Synergy Services, which help survivors of domestic violence and homelessness. Families and kids are welcome to attend
Looking ahead, the firm will also roll out a new “Ask an Advisor” event series and launch a special blog and webcast series focused on personal finance and small business success.
